@GD62 Grant For your Happy Cobra Wednesday, let's include the LM GT Class winning Daytona from 1964. And, a bonus pic from the introduction of a new race team, All American Racers in 1965, a 427 used as a backdrop for the partners in the AAR venture.

Jim Cooke Justin Gurney Sebring International Raceway Great shot Jim. Let me add Jim that this was the first race for the newly formed All American Racers (AAR). With co-driver Jerry Grant, Dan used his much modified Lotus 19 to place 5th on grid behind much more modern Chaparrals (1+2) and Ford GTs (3+4). Note Phil Hill next to Dan

Culture F1 1967 USGP. Two of the greats on front row, but in this race Graham Hill out-qualified Jim Clark by a bit. Dan Gurney 3rd on grid, Chris Amon 4th in his 312 and on 3rd row Jack Brabham 5th and Hulme is 6th. Clark won followed by Hill and Hulme 3rd helping to seal his Championship

The last F-4 Phantom came off the production line in May 1981, exactly 28 years after the Phantom project was born. Such successful fighter aircraft appear only once in a generation.

kris van Ditshuizen Could this have been weekend that Jim and Jochen were to tryout NASCAR stock cars at 1967 Rockingham 500? Below Clark in #66 Holman & Moody Fairlane and together pre-race. Clark was 24th grid and blew engine to finish 30th. Jochen's ride fell through, but stood by to relive Jim.

I think this is one of my favourite motorsport images of all. The camera is lined up perfectly. The drift is perfection. The driver is immortal. Imagine is F1 cars didn't have downforce and they did this all the time. Like MotoGP.
