This is not a minefield
A striking and thought-provoking artwork has arrived to the Inner Close.
The work offers a dissonant moment, a liminal space to imagine what it might be like to live amongst the remnants of war.

MAG (Mines Advisory Group)
Today, in collaboration with MAG, an installation by Ian Golding titled ‘This is not a minefield’ opens at Winchester Cathedral.
On 18 April, join Golding, writer Brian Draper & MAG’s Director of Engagement as they discuss our work of clearing remnants of war.

Loving Springwatch from @RSPBArne - and if you haven’t read my interview with Chris Packham from 2021, it’s worth a look, naturally! He’s so engaging. highprofiles.info/interview/chri… High Profiles #chrispackham #springwatch #nature #soulfulnature
Thank you Pádraig Ó Tuama for this profoundly moving, challenging & inviting study of Ruth. I was so sorry to learn of Glenn Jordan’s passing, but his words, and yours, have been breathing life into this English soul today. 🙏 Canterbury Press
Yesterday I got arrested whilst filming a Just Stop Oil supporter holding a banner on the pavement near the coronation route. I'm a filmmaker and had my @BECTU press accreditation visible around my neck.
Police deemed this to be 'conspiracy to commit a public nuisance'.
SO good to have Church Times Festival of Faith & Literature here in Winchester for the first time this w/e! I loved leading my Soulful Nature sessions (inc a chilly saunter but profound saunter!) + meeting so many gorgeous people at both. Thankful to savour the wisdom of Andrew Rumsey Colin Heber-Percy too. 🙏
Delighted to mention Gillingham FC and the Last Waltz on R4’s Thought for the Day, in ref to Delilah, Her Game Too (not in name but in spirit) and communal singing. Thanks Brad Galinson for making Gills a place to belong again! GillsInTheBlood Scroll to 7.48 bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/li…
The tenderness of this conversation! Thank you Elizabeth Oldfield Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds & Sean O’Hagan.👇
To all you clergy legends - here’s to YOU! For all that gets noticed, and all that does not. God knows how you keep it all going - and not just going, but shimmering with faith, hope, and most of all love. Thank you. May peace and rest soon be yours! 🥂 #ClergyMaltClub
