Exclusive: A leaked government document has exposed transphobic draft policies for UK civil servants.

The new rules will block most trans staff from using single-sex spaces such as toilets, and force staff to accept anti-trans views.

English can be very gendered, and this can mean that we sometimes use language that can make non-binary people feel excluded or unwelcome, even when we don’t mean to.
