Love birds, cherish the environment, nurture my garden, get a buzz from brass bands, beer is my friend, and long to see the world. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸπŸ¦†πŸŒ·πŸŒ³πŸΊπŸŒπŸŒˆβš½πŸŽΊ

We moved into the foothills of the Pyrenees today. Wonderful range of birds and butterflies. Heading to high altitude tomorrow.

On the Spanish plains today, searching for Larks. Dupont's were predictably difficult, but once we got our ears in for the song, we managed a few glimpses. Also Calandra, Short-toed and Lesser Short-toed, or whatever it's called these days.

Weather is too horrid to do anything outside, but I can still provide sunshine with a new variety of English Marigold I've grown this year.

Spent all morning barrowing horse manure into my 2nd bay, mainly to try and get warm! Both are brim full now, and I'm looking forward to trying to grow melons in them. Perennial sweet pea in the front should sprawl over them too.

Really pleased with my garlic and elephant garlic this year. They seem to like the manure I put in each planting hole. It's taken 3 years to build up the elephant garlic so I have enough to both eat and re-plant next year.
