Sometimes I'm quiet in meetings. I'm not nervous and I'm not shy - I've just always felt stupid stammering in front of people and don't want that risk, but am now trying to shake off the shame.

Getting ready to join the panel on 'Revolutionising operating models to meet the future of work” #cipdace What frustrates you about current operating models?

I was worried before starting a Masters at drama school because of my stammer. My tutor’s response when I told him was that he wasn’t interested in fluency and who wanted to be like everyone else anyway? Those words gave me the confidence not to give up.

Today is International Stammering Awareness day.
I joined the legends at STAMMA to hand in a petition to the @bbc, @itv & Channel 4 for better representation of stammerers in TV & Film.
I’ll be sharing more on that soon but, for now, one way to be aware is to follow STAMMA!
