My favorite part of economics discourse is these are the definitions for data releases:

0.1% higher than expected = hotter

0.1% lower than expected = cooler

in most things 0.1% is a rounding error

in economics it's either the greatest thing ever or the end of the world

Probably mortgage rates

Housing makes up something like 15-20% of GDP

Lower mortgage rates would spur lots of housing activity

Home and auto insurance is going to turn into a mini-crisis at some point

Auto insurance is up 22% in the past year

I've yet to get a good explanation for this insane rise

2024 sounds like the better outcome to me
