Thinking about Dan Dennett today. Am happy we recorded part of a fantastic lecture he gave in OZ for inclusion in The Unbelievers movie.. it is a lovely brief record of a lovely man, who lives on in our hearts and minds.

Dan Dennett was a great philosopher, skilled with words, images, thought experiments & intuition pumps. But unlike many clever philosophers (to borrow from PB Medawar) he had something important to be clever ABOUT, namely science. Much more yet, he was a dear friend. So very sad.

I am so happy for Dan that he got his autobiography/ memoir out before passing. It's a great read, and what a perfect title to capture his life in a single phrase:
