Detective Gonzales and Officer Durham recently participated in the National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives Conference. The training they received focused on leadership development and mentorship opportunities for women in law enforcement.

Please join us in congratulating all of our officers, dispatchers, crime analyst, and a Shawnee citizen who were honored at the Shawnee Police Department's annual award ceremony. They were recognized for their life-saving actions and outstanding investigative work.

Our Sergeant Ross is currently deployed overseas. He is serving alongside Oklahoma Highway Patrol Sergeant Maravilla.

Officer Locke was conducting speeding enforcement efforts on K-7 when he stopped a driver for traveling 103 MPH in a 60 MPH speed zone. By enforcing speed limits, officers ensure the safety of all motorists, significantly reducing the risk of serious crashes and fatalities.

During National Volunteer Week, we would like to express our gratitude to our Citizens’ Police Academy volunteers and all those who dedicate their time to volunteering for the Shawnee Police Department each year.
