Feminist borders are an oxymoron.

Borders, walls, jails, cages, war and occupation all disproportionally and deliberately reproduce gender-based violence.

Borders are always an anti-feminist structuring.

Our client found being in detention so severe that he considered leaving his whole family in the UK & signing up for voluntary removal to a country he has not been to since nursery.

This 'wearing down' of a person is strategically built into our immigration system.

There is no way to have an analysis of borders without centering Palestinian liberation.

You cannot analyze bordering regimes or proclaim 'Right to stay, freedom to move, and right to return' if you are not thinking about and in deep solidarity with Palestinian freedom struggle.

Not enough people know about Ibrahima. As a child he wanted to claim asylum in the U.K. he didn’t have the money to pay smugglers. They did him a deal, tiller the boat - travel for free. That way if anything goes wrong smugglers don’t die or get arrested - not even on the boat.

'Age assessments...are unreliable and informed by racial tropes - sub-Saharan Africans such as Ibrahima Bah are most often wrongly assessed, prosecuted and sent to adult prisons. Bah's birth certificate says he's seventeen; the judge said he was 'about twenty'.'
