Richard the green grocer passed away today 😢 We'll never argue about him bringing back jam jars if he wants more jam making. He'll never insist on calling me "young un" because he's known me since birth .

It took resorting to doing her exam in the waiting area, using a kitty for distraction so she didn't try and bite the vet. Unfortunately being adorable and stubborn doesn't win anything. She still got the worst diagnosis 💔🥺

Our last day together today. 😢 I made cheeseburger for breakfast and she got to taste chocolate cookies for the first time while we watched the rain (her fave activity). Cancer sucks .

I can't praise the vet we saw today enough . She was quiet & gentle , didn't insist on pulling ylva around for an exam first and decided to give her sedation outside since she seemed to be enjoying sitting in the sun 💔 she slipped away in my lap , in the sunshine 🌈

You could say I've been dopamine mining since ylva passed away 😶 that's my first go at multicoloured crochet clothing (it's gonna be calcifer 🔥) and the miniatures leave no room for sad thoughts when you're gluing fingers together 😳

So I finished the first miniature complete with a ridiculous number of lights😎. I'm onto a smaller set now , with what feels like a billion books 📚 🙃. Listening to hozier on repeat, pretending the world doesn't exist. 😑

Sometimes you think to yourself “I need a change in my life”. Then you go to your local supermarket and they’ve swapped everything around and you realise things were just fine as they were.

Yeah the last few months of the yr kicked my arse. After losing ylva to cancer I've basically stayed in mindlessly building miniatures and doing crochet. I even went a bit mad on the xmas tree front.

I couldn't dodge the bullet forever , 9 yrs of topiramate and I finally got hit with kidney stones 😕 it took me a month to realise there was a problem since my pain tolerance is epic and I've had a fever for 8 yrs😅

I was right back in spring , all this weight, hair loss and hormones issues. My thyroid is fine 🙂 However I've barely seen my cycle Hello pere menopause 🙃

With each plant based ep of Icy Sedgwick podcast I find out I've yet more oddly placed , poisonous or difficult to grow specimens in my garden 😏. In my defence I didn't plant them , they just popped up, I blame the birds . But I won't say thankyou .. just incase 😉

Subluxated both my shoulders & pulled my si joints yesterday. Hefting this old chap into the car for his last ride 🥺 I've been his dog sitter for 13 years. his owner is elderly & unable to be there, I stayed in the room as he passed so he wasn't looking for a familiar face 🌈

I've been avoiding this diamond art since mum gifted it to me at Xmas 😐 to her it's a "nice keepsake " to me it's a solid 2 weeks staring at my dead dog then not knowing where the hell to put the finished piece 🫤

The audacity of a power cut making me burn my candles 🤨 I did find a use for the eye searing led lights in my miniature houses though 🙃this will teach me to be better prepared.

So after digging up a pavement 2 streets away , they found the electricity grid fault . Patched at 3am and promptly broke for the bank holiday weekend 😐 we have power 🔋 but it's like living at a rave 😎 with the flickering

After she claimed she would never have another dog when hers had passed . Mum has become the new home for this girl this month. Meet poppy the imperial shih tzu. She's basically a handful of wiggles and kisses.
