Micro-review of the latter: Great city, great venue, great content, amazing hallway track.

Hardly anything more cringeworthy than someone describing themselves as a TED speaker and then you find out it is TEDx.

Sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of my multi-thousand dollar M3 MacBook Pro being obsolete later this year. 🤣😳☹️

Middle class Americans live in the richest country on earth at a time of unprecedented global prosperity and have let online ragebait convince themselves that they are living through awful historical circumstances.

I wish I knew someone at Stripe.

So I could tell them:

No matter how many times you ask, I am never typing in bank credentials to somewhere other than my bank. Use OAuth. Every time, instead of randomly sometimes.

Article reminds me how much I miss the old NPR. Used to listen in the car every day and support the local affiliate. Stopped completely a few years ago as it became completely unlistenable and often information-free.

Nest/Google both make thermostats that can be managed in a group from an app.

Neither one has 'heh it is stupid to heat and cool a house at the same time' logic or warnings.

Patent issue maybe?

I understand why a free society must permit a naturally born citizen to chant “death to america.” I do not understand why we would permit immigration of people with this opinion.

The primary challenge for any founder isn’t building a good product, it’s finding distribution for any product whatsoever.

Distribution is what we lost when we left big co.

It's very hard to find a 'normal' locksmith.

The SEO bros have totally saturated every possible search avenue with (probably fake?) listings for Super Ultra Emergency Locksmith Near Me Now etc.

Uh... this should land on the shipping company / their insurance. Government might decide to spend more to upgrade, on top of whatever is recovered.

Hopefully this unwise offer from Biden is not legally binding on the US govt in court.

My balanced take that it's too hot for 𝕏:

Disinformation is a real thing and is bad. To me it means speech designed to look like it is passing along actual true happenings in the world, but is either slanted or outright fabricated, optimized to persuade people to do something

Anybody have a minimally invasive Chrome plugin that shades 𝕏 ads? I don't want to delete them from the timeline, and I want the least possible amount of code and permissions.

It is annoying that Apple uses the green bubble thing to denigrate other-brand chat participants... But I am skeptical that this is a problem government should intervene to solve.

Just a friendly reminder that student loan forgiveness does absolutely nothing to fix the outrageous cost of attending college and has become a political stunt to win over voters.
