Appreciate more. There may come a time where the everyday things we complain about or that frustrate us are things we long for.

I am still struggling to believe I can have good things or that they will stay, because of my health. I feel defeated a lot. But now I feel like I want to keep going for this small beastie. I am here and I am not in the Dark Room and I know that because Jasper is here.

We are still getting used to each other but I am so grateful for his trust and his tenderness. He is a brave cat. I’m also so grateful to VOKRA - Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association for helping me get this boy. Their staff are incredible, their fosters are dedicated and so knowledgeable.

We are building routines together which I need, and he is there when I wake up and his cuddles are grounding and they remind me that I am here and not in my PTSD flashbacks. My therapist prescribed me an Emotional Support Animal because of my strata’s no pet bylaws.

Hi, I have a cat now. His name is Jasper Saturday McLaren and I’ve had him since Saturday. Day six and this morning I held him like a baby against my chest during morning cuddles. Now he is on my legs. He is my first pet. I love him and he is changing my whole life.

1) You need to start doing some sort of fitness activity like 3x per week. Most ppl stop being as active as they were in their younger years for various reasons and it starts to catch up with you.

I’m on a flight in US and an old lady has caused confusion, hilarity and then amazement as the crew expected her to be an infant. She is actually 101 and the computer can’t handle an age that high so just put her down as a 1 year old on the manifest. She laughed it off. Legend.
