* long thread* BURNOUT; I was on the fence about sharing my very personal experiences in nursing. But I think we need to talk about this pressing issue within nursing and allied health professions.
I got a red sticker on my A Levels result envelope because I didn’t get my predicted grades. My head of year told my mum he assumed I’d got into my insurance choice because I hadn’t made the grades. I got into my dream Uni. 🎉GRADES DON’T DEFINE YOU🎉
And yet if any of these protesters needed NHS care we will be here. We will treat with compassion and understanding. To give everything and see this in return makes me sick. Sincerely, a real NHS nurse.
