Lol, this youtube recording of a lecture on big numbers was interrupted by an error message saying 'A Number out of range'. Perfect.

This jury selection process in the Trump trial seems very messed up. Either decide that a jury trial is not appropriate in this situation or use a random jury. But a “filtered jury” just doesn’t look reasonable as a means or truth seeking or justice.

Hmm. The longer I look the weirder this call.
I have worked with curious high-schoolers for 3 years now but I can't think of anyone for whom this is relevant.
The focus on 'ML for social impact' is prescriptive and narrow, plus it smells like mainly virtue signaling.

Please? :)

Is there an instrument that is like a bunch of keys, but with each key (perhaps a metal rod) tuned to a specific note and the whole thing sounds like a chord like E minor or whatever when you shake it?

Average temperatures by year, with the years listed in alphabetical order, and suddenly the climate crisis looks like a joke.

Introducing Administrative Information Theory

Kafka-information K(x): the longest email chain that results in the resolution of original query x.

For most x, K(x) is unbounded.

K(x) is uncomputable, but academic bureaucracy approximates it to within O(1).

I remember using a minimal daily or weekly journal tool for teams. Everyone had to write what they did, what they learnt, what they plan next time. Was called something like weekday or week something. Anyone recognises the product?
