Research shows children who read regularly, and who read by choice, do much better on a wide range of outcomes than those who do not. That's why it's vital that no child misses out - and here's how we can work together to make that a reality 👇 booktrust.org.uk/about-us/strat…

Key Stage Two had a visit from the incredible author S F Said, who spoke to them about the process he goes through when writing his books. It was reassuring to hear that even such a talented writer has to make many drafts before getting the book they want. SF Said CLPE

Year Five loved the, CLPE, Reflecting Realities unit on Tyger. Today they got to ask the author, S F Said, questions about this intentions when writing the book and were even able to share some of the work they have produced, based around the book. SF Said CLPE

Opportunity for all & support for children's wellbeing, themes in the #KingsSpeech, are central to our mission to get children reading. Research shows reading can support children to overcome disadvantage & experience better mental wellbeing. We must ensure no child misses out.

Welcome back! We are so impressed with how brilliantly our children have settled back into school life. We have been doing activities on belonging to support this and, of course, we have our daily storytime. Year Six are reading Jaz Santos vs. the World by Priscilla Mante.
