Well yesterday was trash, worst chase I’ve had in years. I played the northern end of the threat in southern MN and it was complete junk (typical MN), and missed everything incredible that happened in Iowa. Very upset about this one.

Aurora pics from Central MN on Friday night. It was my first ever aurora experience and it was great! It’s pretty sad that auroras of that magnitude are extremely rare :(

It has occurred to me that the definition of 'bust' is extremely subjective and that it doesn't really matter what you call it, as long as you acknowledge the fact that the forecast was wrong. Thats no ones fault either, we all would've drawn a high risk too. We'll learn from it.

Wildly underperforming setup yesterday. I really have no clue what went wrong, and it shows that we as humans have SO MUCH yet to learn about tornadoes. Oklahoma daytime photogenic tornado outbreaks are indeed not back🙄 Also praying for all in Barnsdall-Bartlesville

Many people want to blame the NWS for the lack of high end tornadoes being rated EF5 but few people want to hold the construction complex accountable for the marked dip in build quality to turn a bigger profit.

What an insane overperformance today. Wish I was on the Omaha area cells but oh well, had a nice little tornadofest on the surface low. Observed 4-5 brief tornadoes, 3 ropes and 2 wedges/cones that were intermittently condensed.

Tornado approx. 4-5 miles west of Newman Grove, NE at 3:42 PM.

It’s chase day! Headed to eastern Nebraska to play the surface low.
