The Chair is monitoring the issues of removal/relocation of the pastoralists from Ngorongoro in Tanzania and the research conducted in 2023 we insisted on the Government having a Relocation or Resettlement Policy which will lay down the rights of individuals before relocation.

Yesterday our interns in Uganda presented their experiences working with displaced. They included how emotionally disturbing they got when see a highly educated refugees not able to secure a job and some women and children in banana leaves tents in Kasese IDRC in Eastern and Southern Africa

The students were informed of the different ways in which they can get away with the experience including writing and represent stories of the refugees and include the refugees in the research while continuing to fight for their rights.

We in particular wish to thank the Refugee Law Project; IRC (Uganda); CAFOMI, for hosting our interns, giving them tasks, supervising them and collaborating in delivering the outreaches a human being IDRC in Eastern and Southern Africa IDRC | CRDI
