Very interesting presentation at CREgyptology by Hassan Elzawy on his reassessment of #Buhen as a food production site using The Egypt Exploration Society archive and pottery in the Petrie Museum.
Thank you so much for making this research possible The Egypt Exploration Society!
Today's superb keynote lecture from Dr Ahmed Altaher CREgyptology University of Liverpool on graffiti at Karnak - including the practice of inserting older bits of masonry depicted (and this saturated with the numinous quality of) divinities. Really fascinating stuff! 👀
It’s been brilliant hosting The Egypt Exploration Society stall at CREgyptology, meeting so many great people and seeing so much fascinating research! Thank you Sonia for volunteering at the conference (and Charley Buchan for also helping out as an EES volunteer presenting a poster here)🙏
Great to hear Yasser Mahmoud Hussein Abouzid present his research CREgyptology comparing early dynastic tombs at Abydos and Naga ed-Deir, which previously received a Centenary Award from The Egypt Exploration Society.
