Due to strong winds and heavy rains in some parts of the State many houses have been damaged. Have asked administration to immediately provide relief.

Had meeting with UNICEF delegation, led by Dr. Madhulika Jonathan, Chief of Field Office Assam and North East States. The meeting outlined interventions for collaboration between Meghalaya and UNICEF to bolster early childhood development programmes.

Held review meeting with the Information and Communication Department to discuss matters related to last-mile connectivity in the State. In the first phase, 30 locations have been identified to ensure last-mile connectivity.
