scof Peter FitzSimons The NRL only needs a few ex players to successfully sue on the basis of head injuries sustained while playing and it could be all over. They have to be seen to be being proactive. The kick-off is low hanging fruit.

And all the more so as Australia already has three famous Paul Kellys in the public domain!

I'm saying when they have identified a part of the game delivering bulk brain damage - which is long kick-offs - they are legally and morally bound to make safer.

Peter FitzSimons Feel like this is quite a simple fix if they want to, which is just to incentivise short kickoffs like they did with goal line restarts, and/or kicking the ball dead like in NFL? Maybe play restarts on the 10m line or something.
