House has declined to process the Uganda Road Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2024 in its current state until Works Minister, General Edward Katumba Wamala tables new amendments that will make Uganda Road Fund more effective. #PlenaryUg

The Committee recommended that Uganda Road Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2024 be rejected in its totality.

On the other hand, Hon. Rauben Arinaitwe (Isingiro West) said districts should be empowered to directly get money for road maintenance rather than going through URF. #PlenaryUg
