Too many VT families must choose between caring for their loved ones and paying their bills. No one should have to make that choice. That’s why we’re proud to call for a strong program with @AARPVermont and the VT Paid Leave Coalition Coalition in this week’s 7Days.

Abortion is essential care 💖

Everyone should be able to get the care they need – that includes abortion care. But the Supreme Court is hearing a case next week that could ban emergency abortion care for pregnant people in medical crises. rewirenewsgroup.com/2024/04/08/wha…

Fathers play a crucial role in shaping infant health, yet there's a significant lack of federal data on men in early parenthood.

I led Congressional Dads Caucus to partner with Black Maternal Health Caucus in urging HHS.gov to continue a pilot program that would survey new fathers and improve family health.

A5: We provide anti-racist, inclusive tools, and technical support to pass policies for maternal health. This includes transforming the way we pay for healthcare and by fighting for paid family and sick leave and equal pay.

A3: Black women have historically been denied the essential human right to decide if, when, and how they create their families. Reproductive justice protects Black women’s right to quality and accessible reproductive care when they need it.

Arizona is home to 1.6 million women of reproductive age and all of them are harmed by this extreme ruling. This November Arizonans will hopefully make it clear that their rights are not so easily taken away and that the clock will not be turned backwards.

This ruling is outrageous -- and has a huge impact.

National Partnership's research shows that Arizona is home to 1.6 million women of reproductive age. Of these women, 674,000 are mothers, 541,000 are economically insecure, 17,000 are veterans & 118,000 are disabled. nationalpartnership.org/report/state-a….
