Our #JAHM spotlight today is Deborah Lipstadt!

Lipstadt is a professor, author, & the current US Special Envoy to Monitor & Combat Antisemitism. She has received numerous honors worldwide, including being named one of @time's 100 most influential people in the world in 2023.

Two years on from the horrific shooting that killed 10 Black people in Buffalo, communities across the country are still suffering from white supremacist hate and rampant gun violence every day. We must never stop fighting for a world without hate. #DisarmHate

The need for a Jewish homeland is more important than ever.

*As we commemorate 76 years of Israel’s independence, we remember that not everyone is free today. This independence day, we pray for an Israel with peace, equality, justice, and for the return of the 130+ hostages.

NCJW continues to push back against hate. Last week, we signed The Leadership Conference's letter in support of the bipartisan Improving Reporting to Prevent Hate Act, a key step towards better hate crime reporting & safer communities.

Our hearts are heavy this Yom HaZikaron as we mourn over 1,500 lives horrifically claimed by Hamas terrorists on and since October 7th.

On this solemn day, we honor their memory and call for the immediate and swift return of the remaining hostages. (1/2)

Last week Sheila Katz a colleague/ally/friend and I had a deep heart to heart and at times challenging conversation. At one point she said to me “We are capable of holding complexity if we hold it in Love.” Such words of wisdom.
