I agree with AARO's assessment that the Eglin UAP was likely a lighter-than-air object. I pointed out that it does not look much like their example, but that does not mean they are lying. The Hill's opinion piece is ridiculously bad. Just advocacy.

This Eglin UFO looks like a white sphere wearing a hat.

The image on the left is the IR thermal image, adjusted the levels only. It shows a quite irregular 'hat,' which is not really consistent with the lighting balloon hypothesis.
