The quest to develop even better AI assistants is fascinating to observe. Watching the demo video made me wonder if one use case might be for supporting people living with dementia in their own home?

This may be a big step up in how we 'talk' to machines, and also makes me wonder about the evolution of how humans relate to machines in everyday life

It's the future! I can ask my to 'look' at ingredients by taking a photo and then it uses incredible, wonderful, brilliant to tell me what kind of recipe I can make with these ingredients.

I can't wait to try my dinner made up of cleaning chemicals 😂

What if we could ask our glasses to look at what's in front of us and tell us more using AI?

My in the UK finally got the update that enables me to use Meta vision. I ran a few real world tests this afternoon.

For me, I'm thinking about how it could be used

Join me next month at the festival where I'll be speaking about a radical future where both our health and the health of the natural systems that underpin our existence can thrive together in the 21st century

The Climate Damages Tax report calculates that an additional tax on fossil fuel majors based in the wealthiest OECD countries could raise $720bn by the end of the decade plus $180bn to support communities in richer nations with a just climate transition. theguardian.com/environment/20…

After one's realizes the important role livestock play in rebuilding soil organic matter faster & regenerating degraded soils, it's really no wonder why a vegan restaurateur & farmer is transitioning her small restaurant chain (Sage Kitchen) w. 3 locations in LA from a vegan

Noted that global coverage of the deadly flooding in Kenya, Tanzania, and Burundi is centered on climate change as a driver, whereas local reporting is mostly focused on lack of flood mitigation, deforestation, and adequate funding for infrastructure. There's a lesson there...

I've always focused on how lab grown meat will one day become cheaper because it's more efficient.
But what if it breaks through because disease makes regular meat too expensive/dangerous?

(For me, meat replacement is about suffering, land use and climate change. In that order.)

I guess the next phase of this technology is when machines around us can predict changes in our emotions and automatically play the perfect song

How Washington all too often works (and a big part of why I wrote Taming Silicon Valley) in three screenshots — with thanks to Ed Newton-Rex tolga bilge (from today) and Marietje Schaake (from August) for speaking truth to power.

This is not the way to a thriving, AI-positive

It's been 15 years since I last visited Singapore and I wandered around in search of examples of greener sustainable architecture and I came away rather impressed
