'SBC remains poorly understood by the public, policymakers & even health care professionals”
This valuable report shows the number of people living with secondary breast cancer in the UK is unknown. Our trustee & patient advocate Lesley Stephen says patients feel 'written off.'
Help us raise awareness about secondary breast cancer for #breastcancerawarenessmonth in October for our 1,000 Truths campaign. We're collecting stories from people affected by SCB, friends & family, & those who work in the sector. Please share yours here: make2ndscount.co.uk/forms/2024bcam
Our mission is to build a research programme that amplifies our community voice & helps people live longer, better lives alongside SBC. Thanks BBC Sussex for sharing Sophie Blake's story & highlighting the need for more funds to be invested in research. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Research shows that taking part in an exercise programme reduces pain & fatigue & improves quality of life for those with metastatic breast cancer. Our Birdsong Yoga is a great place to start - every Weds at 8pm & Friday at 10am ➡️ make2ndscount.co.uk/support/commun… bristolpost.co.uk/news/health/ne…

Sharing advice from your SCB journey helps others. Claire says: 'Allow yourself to feel your emotions. It's really scary when first diagnosed, but once you allow yourself to accept what's happening, you realise it isn't as scary & you can live with this disease.' #YourSBCAdvice
We're really saddened by the news that Enhertu is being denied to women in England with HER2-low secondary breast cancer. The drug is approved in Scotland & must be made available throughout the UK.
We're signing Breast Cancer Now's petition - please do too. #EnhertuEmergency
