I have no problems with a law on death by dangerous cycling – everyone must obey the rules of the road.

But in 2022, 1760+ people were killed on UK roads – 3 involved someone being hit by a bike.

What’s the gov plan for stopping 5 people being killed a day by motor vehicles?

This government is a tragic joke.

To waste legislative time on a measure they must know to be ineffective and unnecessary nonsense while an average of five people a day die on our roads in avoidable road traffic collisions is an insult to the memory of those who have died.

Motornormativity = when motorists kill 400 pedestrians per year and cyclists kill 2, but cycling is seen as the devil incarnate by the media and government.

They just got trounced in local elections all over the country but the BBC can’t shake off its obsession with the far right

Great day in London for Sadiq Khan, Labour, progressives and champions of diversity and vibrancy who see the capital as a great European as well as British city.

Bad day in London for Susan Hall, Tories, bigots, racists, Islamophobes, Brextremists and Ulez conspiracy theorists.

This has been a bad couple of days for UK political journalism. So much self-referential, unsubstantiated gossip. I got the gossip too, but you don't have to publish it. So much attention to undeclared results, so little analysis of policy. Such bad extrapolation.
