Finishing the race today in Ballina and seeing my mum at the finish line made me very emotional as it reminded me of what I am fundraising for, domestic abuse survivors just like we are. It also showcased to me how far I've came from the 14 year old that wanted to no longer live

Today I completed the Womens Marathon in Mayo one of my three runs for the fundraiser I am doing for the Women's Refuge in Castlebar, a refuge I once had to go to as a child. I would be very grateful for anyone that can donate

To win this award a factor was you had to have overcame the odds to do third level education whether that had been me growing up in a domestic abuse home,my tumour in my long skull bone,the statistic of a Traveller girl in education or my mental health battles I was able to do it

April has been a truly fulfilling and rewarding month for me, things such as going on an exchange to Italy to learn other cultures, winning best first year out of all the colleges in Ireland, speaking in the Seaned on Traveller Education, Speaking at events and exams in college

When looking at awards or trophies in my room I can picture younger members at different times whether it be me doing hours of training a week to win a karate trophy or hours of study a week to win an education story. Each part of my life I've always wanted to do the best
