Many people didn't understand some of the nuances of the 8664 plan. It is complicated. This illustration by Michael Schnuerle helps. The other aspect that some didn't grasp was that getting into and out of downtown would remain nearly unchanged. #8664

Louisville's streets could look like this. We have plenty of asphalt, and paint is cheap. We need political will. The BroadwayAllTheWay needs to be completed.

Thank you Jeff Speck for delivering the goods last night! 2-way street restorations. Protected bike lanes. 4-way stops. Road diets. Robust transit. Our safety and the future of the city depend on how quickly we embrace these strategies. Thx Patrick Piuma Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute (UofL)

I think this is the most efficient way to grow Louisville into its best self. It would reinforce our existing, historic development pattern along diverse, mixed-use corridors and support a more human-centric city.

It’s not even close. The sooner we adapt to an EV future, the better we’ll be. And the happier you’ll be.

Louisville's Ohio River Bridges Project rendering. $2.5 Billion burying downtown in concrete and then people wonder why nobody lives downtown. And traffic actually declined. We should have removed I-64. #8664
