Observation on a rare day off cycling in central London is that majority of 'professional' van and moped users use the roads like selfish maniacs. A couple of motorcyclists using their loud pipes to chivvy pedestrians too. We really should do better.

Anyone, ANYONE, who equates vehicular road use with freedom, be it explicit or implied should be slapped. It's pernicious how people take stupid and selfish cultural practices and put them on some supposedly unassailable platform. All that matters is risk reduction and safety.

I don't care if you drive, cycle or ride a motorcycle. If you put 'freedom' above responsibility to others, you'll always be wrong. Always.
