Once again, piffleswipe Pierre Poilievre, insurance office clerk Andrew Scheer, and all their debt hysteric acolytes are shown to be far off in right field: while πΊπΈUS national debt is around 7% of GDP, πCanadaβs is less than 1%, well below the advanced economy average.

It's been just under 48 hours since Moody's reaffirmed Canada's Aaa credit rating, with STABLE outlook, following #Budget2024
Funny how nobody covers this.
Not 1 article I can find.
Not even in biz press BNN Bloomberg
But we get a daily diet of polls and punditry.

John Berlinsky π¨π¦ Mark Gerretsen π¨π¦ πΊπ¦ The Sun Couldn't disagree more. We don't know why attribution was lost. It may have resulted from changes to their website over the past 10 years. Liberal MPs have an obligation to do their due diligence, especially when something is unclear, to ensure they're not misinforming Canadians
John Berlinsky π¨π¦ Mark Gerretsen π¨π¦ πΊπ¦ The Sun Spreading misinformation is just like them. It was a mistake for Mark Gerretsen π¨π¦ πΊπ¦ to post an unattributed op-ed w/out checking w/the Sun first. If he did check, or knew it was Kinsella, then a capital-L Liberal, & still attributed it to 'the Sun,' that's obviously much worse.
John Berlinsky π¨π¦ Mark Gerretsen π¨π¦ πΊπ¦ But why muddy them any further. The op-ed was written by a Liberal, who was hoping to run for the Liberals 2015.
The bottom line is: Are we better than them or just like them? Mark Gerretsen π¨π¦ πΊπ¦'s post amounts to misinformation.
Take it down, admit the error and move on.
Apparently the author is Warren Kinsella, who was a dedicated Liberal then. This isn't as surprising as Mark Gerretsen π¨π¦ πΊπ¦ suggests. In fact, it's misleading - the Sun (ie the editorial board) didn't say it, their Liberal columnist did. It should probably be taken down, IMO. #cdnpoli
