Recently, I had an interview with THISDAY Newspaper where I delved into a range of issues - Edo renaissance, my political battles, my administration’s goal to finish on a high note, sustainability of our reforms, among others. I am sharing some excerpts from the interview here.

In collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), I have flagged off the Edo State Food Support Programme, designed to feed the poorest of the poor in the state, with a similar initiative for the Muslim community slated to be launched in the coming months.

I paid my last respects to Late Madam Okojie today at the Requiem Mass held in her honour at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in the state capital. Mama was a beacon, and a loving mother. May God grant all the fortitude to bear her loss.

Earlier today, I, along with other dignitaries and guests, joined the founder and Bishop of Voice of Freedom Ministry International, Bishop Dr. Abraham Chigbundu, as he celebrated his 70th birthday.

May God grant the Bishop many more years of impact on humanity.

Like his predecessor, we are already in talks with the new General Officer Commanding 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Obinna Onubogu. We are keen on setting up a Military Forward Operating Base (FOB) to fortify security in our northern border with Kogi State.
