It shows the commitment of our tripartite partners in #Cameroon to employment, social protection, and social dialogue.

During my first day in Yaoundé, I had several fruitful discussions with Government Ministers on strong @ILO-Cameroon cooperation.

We spoke about key issues, including child labour, financing social protection, fostering youth entrepreneurship, and promoting apprenticeships.

On 10 May 1944, as WWII raged around the world, a group of workers, employers and governments joined together in proclaiming that lasting peace can only be established if it is based on #SocialJustice .

Today, we mark the 80th anniversary of the International Labour Organization Philadelphia Declaration.

Great meeting ministers of the Moroccan government to build on the strong ties between @ILO and Morocco. Pleased to hear about their commitments to labour standards, social dialogue, social protection and the overall advancement of social justice.

Senior leaders from the United Nations are gathering this week here in Chile. It is the first time this meeting is taking place in Latin America.

I am proud of our leadership’s diversity, which makes us stronger and closer to the people we serve.

Success factors for the World Summit for Social Development in 2025 include:
➡️Rebuilding trust within and between countries and with institutions.
➡️A universal & inclusive outcome that accounts for regional and national development realities.
➡️A strong focus on implementation.

Positive meetings with Chilean employers' and workers' organizations.

Social dialogue, safety and health at work, implementation of Convention 190, formalization, a #JustTransition to a greener economy and the Global Coalition for #SocialJustice , were key items for discussion.

On my first day in Chile, pleased to meet with Ministers of Labour & Social Protection Jeannette Jara Román, and Foreign Affairs, Alberto van Klaveren.

We discussed cooperation with @ILO, decent work promotion, and I welcomed Chile’s membership of the Global Coalition for #SocialJustice .

#SocialJustice is the foundation of peaceful, prosperous and sustainable societies.

Decent work, labour rights, social protection, and social dialogue to find durable solutions for today's world of work challenges, are vital to achieve social justice for all.

The situation in Gaza, decent job creation and social dialogue were priority topics while in Iraq for the Arab Labour Conference.

I discussed these and other key issues with the President, Prime Minister, Minister of Labour & Social Affairs and employer & worker representatives.

My discussion today with Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, focused on the impact of the situation in Gaza on lives and livelihoods.

I also expressed my appreciation for the League’s decision to join the Global Coalition for #SocialJustice .

At our meeting, I thanked Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani, for inviting me to the Arab Labour Conference, hosted by Iraq.

We discussed cooperation with @ILO and efforts to promote decent work, including through labour law, social security, and trade union reforms.

The Arab Labour Conference meets against the backdrop of conflict and growing challenges in the world of work.

Collective endeavour is vital to find lasting solutions.

This includes the Global Coalition for #SocialJustice , which aims to accelerate progress on development goals.

I welcome the statement of govt, employer & worker delegates at the Pacific Tripartite H-L Dialogue on #DecentWork & the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent.

Together we can drive progress on social, environmental & economic dimensions to achieve greater #SocialJustice .

Millions of workers globally are facing increased health risks due to the multiple impacts of #ClimateChange .

Let’s redouble our efforts to prevent work-related fatalities and illnesses and safeguard the well-being of all workers.

Rapid tech development, including #AI , and the transition to green economies are reshaping jobs markets.

It's crucial all women and men, boys and girls have access to the education and skills development needed to prepare for the #jobs of tomorrow.

#SkillsForAll is a priority.

Global cooperation is the surest way to achieve durable solutions to global challenges.

#Multilateralism and #Diplomacy are vital to find ways out of conflict and put the world on the path to peace.

For @ILO, #SocialJustice for all is the foundation of lasting peace.
