We stopped over 180 vehicles during a safety operation targeting drivers of Heavy Goods Vehicles last month. 229 offences were detected, with many tickets issued. Three people were arrested, and four vehicles seized.

Following concerns from residents & businesses in the area, since the opening of the new Herring Bridge, PC Beale conducted speed checks on Main Cross Road in South Yarmouth earlier this week (24 April). Nobody was caught speeding at the time, but he'll continue to monitor.

In #Bradwell on Tues (23 April) PC Gray delivered a workshop to Year 5/6 at Woodlands Primary School about online safety, 'stranger danger', respect, antisocial behaviour, & drugs. Then on Wed (24 April) he worked with Housing Officers in Kingfisher Close, speaking to residents.

If you've been out around South Yarmouth over the last few days, you might have seen Beat Manager PC Dan Beales. Yesterday (Tues 23 April) he spent the morning at Britannia Pier and Great Yarmouth Library, and on Thurs (18 April) he spoke to residents on Peggotty Road.

We held another bike marking event on Sat (13 April) outside Great Yarmouth Library - Norfolk County Council with 15 bikes registered to the national cycle database. PC Chusonis & Gray spoke to a number of people passing by, while also providing education around crime prevention. #SaferStreetsNorfolk

Our #NorfolkCPT officers have continued their patrols this week around Middlegate, South Quay, and the surrounding roads of Great Yarmouth during the day and night. While on patrol they also conducted weapons sweeps, and seized cannabis from two people they came across.

We're appealing for information after a van break-in in Belton. The incident happened between midnight and 10.30am on Sunday 7 April 2024 in Deben Drive, when entry was forced and tools with an estimated value of £9,500 were stolen.

Great Yarmouth SNT have spent the lunch time engaging with young people at an event GY YAB has arranged to start discussion around loneliness and mental health.

Last week (Thurs 4 April) we held a day of action in Great Yarmouth targeting drivers using counterfeit documents, escorting 50 vehicles to a designated check site.

We were out last night (Thurs 4 April) for the start of GY's Easter Fair. It was nice to see people in good spirits, with the vast majority enjoying the event safely.
