Forest Protection Division (Pathology Discipline) hosted an awareness workshop on “E-waste and its management” as a part of Mission Life. On May 16,for scientists, staff and students for awareness on harmful effects that improper disposal of e-waste has on the environment.

Chemistry and Bio prospecting Division, Forest Research Institute, ICFRE, Dehradun conducted an awareness programme under the mission LiFE on 16th May, 2024 for students of 10th and 12 standard and their faculty to sensitize them for using the healthy products for better health.

On the occasion of International Biodiversity Day 2024, Dr. Renu Singh, IFS, Director, FRI addressed and flagged off bus for Bird watching at Anand Van, Dehradun. In addition to this Extension Division of ICFRE-FRI organised Picture perception and Description Competition (PPDC).

Dr. Santan Barthwal and Dr. Shailesh Pandey, Scientists, ICFRE-FRI, Dehradun visited Bodhgaya and Patna from 13 to 16 May, 2024 for health assessment of Holy Maha Bodhi Tree at Bodhgaya and Holi Bodhi Trees at Smriti Park, Patna and treated them for their maintenance.

The Five days Compulsory Training Course for IFS Officers on “Field Enumeration, Data Collection and Analysis of Ecosystem Services of Forests for Working Plan Code 2023” is being organized by Silviculture & Forest Management Division of ICFRE-FRI, Dehradun from 22-26 April 2024.

On the occasion of Earth Day (22.04.2024) Extension division and EIACP, ICFRE-FRI, Dehradun, organized a competition i.e. Making art and craft from plastic waste for the students of FRIDU. All participants were administered the Earth Day Pledge.
