None of these folks showed up when I lived on campus and white supremacists with tikki torches yelling “Jews will not replace us” marched through campus as I hid my three kids.

One of the clarifying things about this moment is that post-2017 liberal antifascism was never based on a genuine commitment to antifascist politics but rather on anxieties around a collapsing liberal hegemony that needed to be violently reinforced.
