45 years ago today, The Beach Boys released “Good Timin’” their second single from their 1979 album L.A. (Light Albums). It’s one of the few songs credit to both Brian and Carl. The song reached the top 40 on the singles chart and No. 12 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.

Today in 1977, The Beach Boys Love You album was released. Originally titled Brian Loves You, Brian wrote almost all of the material and played nearly every instrument on the record, including keyboards, synthesizers, and drums with bass lines played on ARP and Moog synthesizers.
