A year since I made the hard decision to leave the Isle of May. It wasn’t just a job, it was my home for 7 months every yr for 8 yrs! Leaving stunning scenery, seabirds & amazing people. I want to thank all those that made my time on the May special & for all the amazing gifts!

One year on from Storm Arwen and the Grey Seal population back as strong as ever. Heartening to see after the massive loss of pups last year - no reduction in the number of breeding females either. LIFE FINDS A WAY 🦭 💥

Back on the Isle of May for a week, feels like coming home! Some amazing autumnal skies and finally saw a bird I’ve always wanted to out here…Pallas Warbler!

You never know what you might see out at the Islands.
Skipper Steve & Michael onboard St Cuthbert 3 were very lucky to spot this Humpback yesterday afternoon near Crumstone Island.

Having navigated the recent high tides, eggs are hatching and chicks are mobile across the beaches, and rocky shore. Please continue to respect the dedicated Shorebird Protection Areas and keep dog on a short lead throughout the Reserve.
