Great day with Air Ambulances UK parliamentary reception. Good to catch up with colleagues, stakeholders and MPs to raise awareness of our work. Thank you Simmy Akhtar and colleagues for organising and Pete Wishart for hosting.

Had a lovely afternoon at Air Ambulances UK's annual Parliamentary reception. Great to see some of Great Western Air Ambulance Charity's MPs, lovely to spend time with Jenny, Philippa and Tim from the GWAAC team and just amazing to hear Niky talk about how GWAAC saved her daughter Jasmine's life.

The weather may be a little unpredictable at the moment, but one thing is for sure and that’s that summer is on the horizon… just like in today's #ViewFromTheCrew from Critical Care Paramedic Liam, who captured the sun rising over the East Coast.

Occasionally, when flying is deemed the quickest and most suitable method of hospital transfer, they will utilise the helicopter for patient transportation but often opt to transfer patients in ground ambulances. 🚑

On the 10th anniversary of World Pilots’ Day, we're celebrating our own amazing team of 10 pilots who are responsible for flying our two aircraft throughout the county and beyond!
