This interview of Uri Berliner by David Folkenflik is incredible. There is a sense that the insider, Folkenflik, is transgressing by talking to the newly excommunicated Berliner. A sample:

Jay Bhattacharya Uri Berliner David Folkenflik Yeah, it's a tricky area. You'd like NPR to behave the way a land-grant university should...except land-grant universities no longer do. They answer to their donors, patrons and student interest groups.
NPR is a political/ideological imitation of a nonprofit & acted as such.
