Faced with an unacceptable pay offer that will cost over 400 lecturing jobs - we begin strike action this Thursday.

On that day, we will take the fight for a fully funded and fair pay award directly to parliament.

We will never trade jobs for pay.

We begin a strike action tomorrow with members walking out in all of Scotland's colleges.

The Scottish Government and College Employers Scotland must facilitate a fully funded pay and fair pay award that does not result in job losses.

In a letter to trade unions sent yesterday, the Scottish Government minister responsible for Further Education tacitly accepted compulsory redundancies in the public further education sector.

Their stated commitment to public services must include public sector colleges.

🚨 National Strike Action Day🚨

College Employers Scotland and the Scottish Government must bin the spin and work together to provide lecturers with a pay offer that is fair, fully funded and avoids job losses.

We will not trade jobs for pay ✊

Alongside the strike action campaign, we are balloting our members to maintain a legal mandate for industrial action.

We will fight as long as it takes for a fully funded and fair pay award.

Vote YES to ASOS and strike action.

Our programme of national, rolling and targeted strike action will begin on 7th September in pursuit of a fully funded pay award.

College lecturers will not accept a pay offer that would result in hundreds of job losses across Scotland's public further education sector.
