A disgrace to our values as a country and reputation as a military which one might choose to collaborate with,
This is so basic; I’m embarrassed for the UK. There really is no excuse for genuine candidates not to be automatically given the right to remain. thetimes.com/uk/defence/art…

'Most believe that LLMs are not where any money will be made, but...app layer.'
I don't think that is at all clear yet. As AI engines become exponentially smarter the need for an 'app' in the traditional sense actually begins to breakdown.
I belive the majority of today's GenAI

All UK parties are guilty of ruining our armed forces. National Service is not the way to fix them BUT I have supported the idea since I was a teenager. It’s an obvious way to rebuild a sense of national common purpose & should include non-military options bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Europe and the UK didn't just deconstruct it's military forces after the Cold War, we destroyed our ability to build them.
Time we woke up by putting money where our mouth is.

I was on an advisory board with Charlie Songhurst. Exceptional focus on the human being when investing early. We did a pitch meeting with a founder and he spent 95% of the time asking about their background and life, not about the company.
Also an exceptional mind to go with it.

Last week, I provided a graphic description to my team (men) of my experience getting a mammogram. As I described my breast being maneuvered onto a plastic tray and then pressed in a vice so tight that I almost passed out, the guys jaws dropped, they looked stunned - followed by

I think >80% of the generative AI investment will be lost. GenAI die each time OpenAI or another upgrade their capabilities.
There will be some big winners of course but we've avoided most application layer AI startups unless extremely differentiated. Data from

ChatGPT-4o thinks upto 15%. Dealroom.co or PitchBook disagree?

β€œEvery startup is different”
Yes. The β€œramen profitable” playbook popularised by Paul Graham doesn’t work for and similar. But pretty sure PG says as much in his essays.
