I’m not going to share the video but in case you’re wondering, “Zionists don’t deserve to live” is deeply antisemitic and should be universally condemned by anyone whose stated goals are peace and justice.

The young people at Columbia are getting a powerful education in how outside actors here and abroad can exploit their protests for their own malevolent ends.

Free speech is intended to work in both directions: protest and press. You don’t get to claim you’re using your right to protest and then literally smack down the media’s right to cover it.

I’m really sick of media & viral social media posts painting the Jewish community in a false binary: pro-Israel or pro-Palestinian.

The vast majority of American Jews support Israel (but not necessarily its government) AND believe in Palestinian humanity & self-determination.

Continually awed by Rachel and Jon’s strength in the face of the unthinkable.

Denying that actual antisemitism exists on campus, Jewish & Israeli students feel unsafe, & some admins have failed = the problem.

Exploiting these concerns to advance a far-right agenda aimed at undermining liberal institutions, DEI, and/or all right to protest = the problem.
