Today is the 12th anniversary since my dad died from sepsis, after 10 weeks in ICU on ECMO. We are a family of nurses, it can happen to anyone #thinksepsis The UK Sepsis Trust

Another child. Another ‘learning opportunity’. When will healthcare professionals understand that these children are our future, they’re not learning opportunities.

This is so incredibly sad. They never got to even hear their baby cry. Just imagine.

UKST ambassador Melissa (@amotherwithoutachild) recently shared her son William’s story at the National Infection Prevention Conference to 750 healthcare professionals.

William sadly passed from #sepsis in 2014.

It was great to talk today at #ipc24 to share William’s story and the impact of the recent Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman #sepsis report. William died 10yrs ago when the Ombudsman published their first report. Unfortunately not much has changed in 10yrs…. We need to do better.
