Thanks, Tony. In an appendix in the book I put cognitive stimulation as a preventative measure into that vital wider context. Yes to safer drinking et al; puzzles alone are not the answer!

Yes, 'stimulation' if you like; we tend to call it keeping active - physically, mentally, socially. But your point is well made that people vary in how much support they might need to achieve this, and hence how risk overlays broader social determinants of agency and resilience.
