This is even more true when the coverage focuses exclusively on incidents without pulling back to focus broadly on trends, underlying causes, and solutions. The resources to cover individual shootings are lower than those needed to dig into *why* shootings might happen.

I spent much of today in external meetings sharing my excitement over Greater Greater Washington’s work and having the people I was meeting with reflect that excitement back to me and I’ll tell you what, that makes for a good day.

This thread is important to understand just some of the transportation funding issues in NOVA that are *linked* to Metro but actually go way beyond Metro because NVTC is a region-wide entity.

There’s domino effect risk for all nine NOVA localities in terms of available funding.

The top priority bill, HB 538, which now heads to the governor, will significantly expand housing options near transit.
