Today Alliance DAERA Minister Andrew Muir MLA brought new Pet Abduction Offences to tackle the cruel crime of pet abduction.
Pets are not simply property, and the taking of them by someone else should not be equated with stealing an item or object, says John Blair MLA, about new Pet Abduction Offences.

๐ NI Assembly has voted to support the introduction of new Pet Abduction Offences in Northern Ireland, brought by Alliance DAERA Minister Andrew Muir MLA.
These offences cause real distress to pet owners, and now we're one step closer to improving how they're dealt with.
We cannot sit idly by while nature is being destroyed and the threat to our native species increases, says John Blair MLA.
