Today, I welcomed Manuel Sarrazin, the 🇩🇪 SR for WB. As the Berlin Process celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, it underscores its significance as a platform for cooperation & the importance of honoring past agreements, incl. on free movement between Kosova and Bosnia.

It's a pleasure to welcome today Ian Borg, MFA of Malta and Chair-in-Office of OSCE. We discussed multiple pathways to collaboration, especially pertaining to fighting organized crime. We appreciate the confirmation of our cherished friendship & look forward to our work.

Today marks the 16th anniversary of the adoption of Kosova's Constitution, which solidified the guarantee of rights for all citizens, with particular emphasis on minorities. Sixteen years on, we remain committed to ensuring the implementation and protection of these rights.

Today, I met with the first Albanian to have become a Swedish MP, Adnan Dibrani, who is also a candidate for the EU Parliament elections, as well as Arbër Gashi, currently serving in local government in 🇸🇪. The political participation of our diaspora is commendable & encouraged!

A pleasure to attend the PES 🌹🇪🇺 conference & leaders meeting yesterday in Bucharest, themed “We stand together—for our Europe!” Kosova is a staunch supporter of democratic rights based on the wellbeing of all, & is happy to work with other European democracies on shared values.

As we approach the 8th of April, International Roma Day, we celebrate the cherished Roma community in Kosova, honoring both key individuals and the Roma Education Fund for their invaluable contributions to uplifting the community. Bahtalo Romano Dive!

A pleasure, as always, to meet with 🇬🇧 Special Envoy to the WB, Lord Peach. I thanked him for the UK's continued support for Kosova. We also discussed 🇽🇰's security in the context of regional developments, emphasizing our shared view that security and rule of law go hand-in-hand.

Today, I visited all 4 northern Serbian-majority municipalities, incl. the place where our policeman, Afrim Bunjaku, was killed by Serbian paramilitary forces last Sept. The future of our country is everyone's right & responsibility, & together we will work for a bright tomorrow.

A pleasure to meet with PACE Chair of the Committee on Political Affairs & Democracy, Bertrand Bouyx. I thanked him for the support of the progress that Kosova has made on its path to Council of Europe membership and expressed our anticipation to have access to human rights mechanisms.

Our democratic progress continues to be recognized internationally! The 2024 report by the Swedish-based V-Dem Institute has placed Kosova on an improved position and highlighted it as one of the few democracies showing improvement globally. At 62, 🇽🇰 ranks higher than all WB6.
