Huge congratulations to the thousands of Albertans who immediately stood up and denounced Smith’s cruel plan to hurt low-income people in our province.

Now, let’s continue to work together and demand she stop her government’s undemocratic overreach into our municipalities.

This is unusually cruel, even for the UCP.

Making it more difficult for low-income Albertans to get to their jobs and access health care just doesn’t make any sense.

Smith’s priorities are clear, and helping low-income Albertans isn’t on her list.

UCP MLAs have a habit of patting themselves on the back with one hand while yanking away crucial supports with the other.

The UCP cutting public transit funding for low-income folks a month after citing it as a way they’re helping them is, unfortunately, unsurprising.

As we observe National Day of Mourning and remember those who have tragically lost their lives at work, let’s honour their memories by renewing our commitment to workplace safety and advocating for better protections for all workers in our province.
