Andrew Smith Anthony Albanese Senator Murray Watt The MSM continues to repeat the lie that the LE changes only affect a small number of WA farmers & ignore indirect effects like this that are effecting farmers in other states #KeeptheSheep

The more I have to do with animal activists the more I’m convinced they’re a bunch of racists. They’ve put this up in my local town - right next door to where 2500 people consume kangaroo meat as a part of their traditional diet. #ExpertsNotActivists

"it is not worth our time or money to only offer programming; not receive any. Add to that the inertia in academia around valuing scicomm & non-academic careers ...most of us have just decided to take our formidable energy & expertise elsewhere."

Parasitoid wasps FTW! These tiny parasitic predators are an essential biological agricultural pest control method, the wasps lay eggs inside or on the body of their hosts, which will later emerge, feed upon & kill the host insect. ☠️☠️☠️

"complacency in the conservation of common species may lead to rapid declines and localised extinctions of previously common species." Yes. Involving farmers & supporting them financially to participate more - that is the way. Not more rescues once species are on the brink.

On the tractor shed cat traps. They're shut for the weekend but I still want to lure feral cats. So I use a small bowl inside a fishing berley cage & load it up with roast juices. Stops the rodents & birds getting it all & is easy to clean.

Pine frame, chip carved last century. If you have items like this do hang on to them. They represent lost times when people in remote places with no access to shops or ready cash, put love & time into works of art by candlelight.

Red capped Plover feeding with Red necked Stint, Mortlake N16. It's a Parks Victoria Reserve but you'd have to guess that this & N17 are more than numbers on a gvt map. Why do so many of PV conservation assets in SW Vic have no identifying signage Steve Dimopoulos MP ?
